Volunteer at Oasis
Oasis Medical Center relies heavily on volunteer support. Volunteers are so important to the Center and to our clients. Below are many ways to serve at Oasis. If you are interested in learning more, please fill out our Volunteer Interest Form or call the Center at 662-287-8001.
Individual Volunteers
Weekly Volunteers
Individuals who volunteer on a weekly basis at Oasis have several options. You can come to the Center either for a whole day or a half day. The positions are as follows:
Peer Coach
Meets with clients, witnesses ultrasounds, assists with other duties around the Center, etc.
General Center Volunteer
Works on mailings, tasks around the Center, witnesses ultrasounds, etc.
Prayer Warrior
Prays for clients, Center needs, and special circumstances.
As Needed Volunteers
Maybe you can’t volunteer on a weekly basis, but would like to help when you can. Listed below are some other options:
General As Needed Volunteer
Helps by doing general tasks in the community and at the Center like helping fold Oasis newsletters.
Church Liaison
Serves as a point person for or representative of Oasis at his or her church.
Volunteer Educator
Serves as an outreach educator with our character development/sexual integrity program.
Networking/Goodwill Ambassador
Spreads the word about Oasis and encourages others to support the Center.
Maintenance Worker
Assists with maintenance around the Center.
Medical Volunteers
Registered Nurse
Oasis is always looking for kind, compassionate nurses that want to make a difference in our clients’ lives.
Doctors/Radiologists/Etc.
Oasis needs doctors as part of our volunteer staff, radiologists to read the ultrasounds performed at Oasis as well as medical volunteers to educate our clients in our classes.
Groups
Groups such as churches, Sunday School classes, organizations, etc. like to volunteer at Oasis together. Some ways groups can volunteer at Oasis are as follows:
Walk for Life Team
Groups can form a team to raise funds for Oasis during the annual“Walk for Life”in the spring.
Hospitality Team
Provides food and beverages for Oasis classes and events.
Baby Shower Hosts
Coordinate and host a baby shower through your church/organization to benefit the Oasis Baby Store.
Baby Bootie Knitting Groups
Every mom with a positive pregnancy test is given baby booties knitted and prayed over by Oasis volunteers.
Deep Cleaning at Oasis
The Center needs a deep cleaning quarterly. Your group can serve by cleaning Oasis from top to bottom!
